Donna Everhart discusses her newest book, "Women of a Promiscuous Nature." Registration begins March 24.
"Girl, Interrupted" meets "The Handmaid's Tale" in 1940's North Carolina. This is the powerful story of a young woman accused of promiscuity and unjustly incarcerated. The novel is based on the long-buried history of the American Plan and exposes the real government program designed to regulate women throughout the first half of the 20th century.
This event is provided in cooperation with Friends of Chesterfield County Public Library and The Little Bookshop. A book signing will follow each event. Books are available for purchase through the bookstore and at the event. This event is free and open to the public.
