Greater Richmond Wolf Trap offers children ages 3 months to 36 months, along with their parents and caregivers, the opportunity to take part in a Baby Artsplay! program in their community for free.
Taught by Greater Richmond Wolf Trap teaching artists, Baby Artsplay!™ Family-Based Program provides children and their parents/caregivers with classes that enhance learning and development through music, movement, and drama. Registration is done at the door with Greater Richmond Wolf Trap.
Baby Artsplay!™ classes demonstrate the important connection between performing arts and early childhood development. Parents/caregivers learn strategies for incorporating singing, dancing, drama, and other multi-sensory activities into their child’s daily routine to increase engagement and support learning. They learn how to facilitate developmentally appropriate performing arts experiences for and with their children in a child-friendly learning environment.

Chester Library is at the heart of one of the most historic areas of Chesterfield County. Situated beside the Chester Village Green, its brick turret and facade reflect the area’s colonial beginnings while its warm interior with a charming train motif evokes the role of railroads in Chester’s growth. The library features CCPL's largest collection about the arts, and its music and creative arts and crafts programs are popular. Local artists exhibit paintings, prints, and photographs at Chester Library each month. The Chesterfield Center for the Arts is located adjacent to the library building, a multi-faceted venue for visual and performing arts, literature and creativity within a walkable neighborhood of shops, restaurants, and local businesses.
