Meeting Room AAdults Read Young is a young adult book club for adults. Join us in discussing "The Song of Achilles" by Madeline Miller. Registration begins two weeks prior to the program.
Just because you aren't a teen anymore doesn’t mean you can't still read like one. This group will delve into a range of young adult and new adult materials covering various genres. Join us in discussing "The Song of Achilles" by Madeline Miller, a retelling of Homer's epic that blends myth, romance, and adventure.

LaPrade Library
The 20,000 square foot LaPrade Library opened at its current location in 2001 when it moved from its original 8,000 square foot building on Hicks Road. The building was renovated and reopened in 2026. The building is named for Mary Ann Harmon, who devoted her life to the improvement and support of public libraries in Chesterfield County and the Commonwealth. She served as the chair of the Library of Virginia Board (2000) and president of the Friends of Chesterfield County Public Library (1986–2003).
